EPC is the Average Earnings Per One Hundred Clicks. EPC is a relative rating that illustrates the ability to convert clicks to commissions. It is calculated by taking total commissions paid divided by the total number of clicks times 100.

Each banner and text link in CJ has a EPC rating. Banners and links with higher EPCs are the better performing ads.

If you want to know which ads have been performing best for the last week you can sort the “7 Day EPC” column to view all the top performing ads. You can also do the same thing with the 3 month EPC to get a broader view of which ads have been performing well over past 90 days.

If the EPC shows N/A, then the ad hasn’t received the minimum required number of clicks to calculate an EPC. There must be at least 100 clicks to calculate a 7-day EPC and at least 1000 clicks for the 3-month EPC.

If the EPA shows “New”, then the ad is less than 90 days old, too new to calculate an EPC.

FreedomVoice recently updated their logo and will be migrating this new logo across all websites and banners shortly. Here’s some changes worth noting:

• The word “Systems” is no longer used as part of the company name or within the logo. We’re simply FreedomVoice.
• The company name is written as a single string, no spaces, but spelled with upper and lowercase letters, “FreedomVoice”. We’re no longer capitalizing all letters of VOICE, “FreedomVOICE”.

Video is especially powerful if you run a unique content site or blog and want to offer your readers a more interactive experience of the service.

The videos are separated into chapters, but designed to auto load the next video upon completion. All you need to do is extract all the files into their own directory and serve up the intro.html file to start the tour. You can use a popup or overlay window to further enhance the user experience and without having your visitors navigate away to view the video.

Over the recent months, we’ve continued to test and revise our own landing pages and order forms, arriving at a new configuration for our toll free number service that is significantly outperforming its predecessor. In an effort to pass the benefit of higher conversion rates on to you, we’ve updated the landing pages for affiliates.

There’s nothing you need to do differently to take advantage of this change. Just continue to drive targeted traffic through your affiliate link and you’ll automatically enjoy the benefit of higher conversions.

In addition to higher conversions, the new pages offer new possibilities. The new pages have dynamic text that will allow us to create special banners moving forward that key in on a particular feature of the service. For example, you may want to advertise FreedomVOICE as a “voicemail service” or “call forwarding” solution and have your banners directed to a landing page that reinforces these features. These feature-targeted banners will also have the benefit of being number-agnostic, presenting customers with the option of selecting a local number for their service instead of a toll free number. In our experience, this option alone can dramatically increase conversion rates.

One of the most common questions I get is how to go into Commission Junction and get a link or banner and add it to a website. It’s a fairly simple process once you understand how, but if your unfamiliar with the CJ interface it can be a little intimidating. To make the process  little easier to understand I created a video that explains the process step-by-step…

The Action Referral Period is the amount of time FreedomVOICE allows their cookies to remain active for visitors that you refer to their site. Commission Junction is able to credit a referring publisher (you) for a configurable tracking duration period. This means that if you refer a visitor to one of FreedomVOICE’s sites, a tracking cookie is set on that visitor’s machine. Then, if that same visitor decides to sign up within the life span of the cookie, you will still get credit for the referral.

The standard duration is 45 days, however FreedomVOICE recently changed this to 60 days in their latest update of their program terms. This means more opportuntity for you to earn commissions on your referred traffic.

If your an existing affiliate, we’ve pushed the new terms out to you. You can simply log into CJ.com and accept the new terms to take advantage of this recent change.

If you have no idea what Commission Junction (CJ) is or you’re not currently a member of CJ but you want to become a FreedomVOICE affiliate, then this post is for you. I’m going to go step-by-step to help guide you through signing up for Commission Junction as well as applying for FreedomVOICE’s affiliate program.

Step 1 – To get started, click this link to open the FreedomVOICE affiliate application.

Step 2 – The Publisher (that’s you) application is a two-step process. First page is relatively short. It highlights some of the benefits of the FreedomVOICE affiliate program. You choose your Language, Country and Preferred Currency.

Step 3 – The next page of the application is a little tricky. You need to agree to the service terms of CJ to proceed. To do this, make sure you scroll to the bottom of the service terms and click the “Accept” button.

Step 4 – After you submit your application, Commission Junction will send you an automated email with your CJ account number, user name and password.

Step 5 – Since Commission Junction automatically assigns you a password, I always suggest logging into your account and changing the password right away. You can login here and use your email address and the password that was sent in your CJ email.

Step 6 – Once you log in, click “Account”, then “Administrative Settings”.

Step 7 – Go to the bottom of the page under “User Settings”. To the right of your name is column named “Actions”. You’ll see a link “Edit”. Click that. It will launch a pop-up window where you’ll need to enter your password. Do that and click “OK”.

Step 8 – You can now edit your user settings. Click the “Create New” option next to “Password” and enter your new desired password. Click “Save” when finished. Your new password will now be in effect.

Step 9 – Now click “Get Links” at the top of the page. Then click “By Relationship”, then the “Pending Applications” tab. You should see FreedomVOICE listed under your pending applications. This means you’re applied to our program and are waiting approval.

That’s it! You’re now are a member of Commission Junction and applied to the FreedomVOICE affiliate program.

I typically review new publisher applications every day. Once I approve your application, you’ll receive an email from CJ letting you know your application has been approved and that your now joined and active in our program. If you want to speed up the approval process, you can simply and I’ll do my best to get to your application as quickly as possible.
