  • Content Marketing Specialist

    Job Summary

    FreedomVoice is seeking a Content Marketing Specialist to create targeted print and digital content, to support marketing, sales, and public relations initiatives.  The ideal candidate will have professional experience in writing, editing, content creation, and/or marketing communications.

    The Content Marketing Specialist will work directly with the Marketing Director to execute the business's content strategy and cultivate thought-leadership among internal stakeholders.  The role requires a highly organized individual with a strong creative sense. Excellent writing and communication skills are a must.  B2B marketing experience is preferred.

    • Drive brand recognition and consistency across external communication channels.
    • Leverage market data, customer feedback, and internal leadership perspectives to develop content themes/topics.  
    • Create compelling content for: collateral, quarterly partner newsletters, automated marketing campaigns, press releases, website and social media.
    • Create content calendar and strategy – with Marketing Director – focusing on business objectives, end-user and partner needs. 
    • Create content/style guidelines illuminating key messages.
    • Leverage content through multiple distribution channels including web, print, social media, email, and events.
    • Integrate content with lead nurturing process to improve conversion rates – identifying relevant topics for particular stages of the buying cycle.
    • Develop the assets that educate and engage customers (end-users, partners, internal, media).
    • Determine efficient and effectiveness methods for content development, edit, storage and retrieval. 
    • Ensure a consistent message across channels.

    Education / Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as marketing, advertising, communications, journalism or English.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years related work experience.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.   
    • Ability to distill complex ideas into engaging/persuasive content.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Exhibited success with multiple projects and competing deadlines; fast-paced, multi-task environment.
    • Experience with online marketing and social media.

    Requisite Abilites and/or Skills

    • Demonstrate superior writing skill, including the ability to communicate in writing through various channels, to internal and external audiences.
    • Ability to craft an excellent written product, utilizing brand voice and key messages.
    • Solid creative sense, with ability to create different styles and voices; understand word/phrase selection impact on overall tone.
    • Ability to conceptualize processes and execution barriers by asking probing questions.
    • Ability to work with competing priorities and know how to identify and rank top priority.
    • Ability to be resourceful and resilient, in the face of changing circumstances, varying opinions, and/or other external factors.  
    • Ensure marketing content conforms to Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices. 
    • Knowledge of social media marketing applications.
    • Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
    • Some knowledge of marketing automation platforms, Eloqua experience a plus.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Team-player, with ability to adjust communication style to successfully interface with various personalities and situations.
    • Demonstrated ability to utilize sound logic even in ambiguous situations.
    • Understand stakeholder expectations and ensure projects’ timely completions.
